Our partners Techcross Inc., Korea have been awarded two major contracts in January 2021. These contracts will require them to engineer ECS (Electro-CleenTM System) i.e., Electrolysis based Ballast Water Treatment Systems for renowned Indian Ship owner, Great Eastern Shipping Co. (GESCO) The capacity of each BWTS is 1 x 1200 CuMtr/Hr and will be delivered to 2 out of 56k DWT Bulk carriers by April 2021. These two contracts are part of a larger contract with GESCO signed in 2020 for 105k DWT Crude Oil Tanker with a capacity of 2400 CuMtr/Hr.

The fact that this is a repeat order only further cements the trust that the shipowner has on the technology offered by Technocross. This technology has the unique feature of a filter less system which allows it to kill microorganisms effectively due to full flow single treatment during ballasting, making it one of the most sought after technologies in the world . This was further reaffirmed when Techcross received four major contracts from India for refits on bulkers and tankers in under a year.
